Young Amateur Radio Operator Award

Created in 2004 By the Indianapolis Radio Club President ;
Chuck Crist -W9IH;








Rules for the selection and presentation:
1-This award shall be presented to an IRC member annually at the clubs December meeting for
Outstanding Achievements involving Amateur Radio in the Indianapolis community.

2- The selection committee shall consist of 3 IRC members; one of which must be the
current club President or Vice President. After the 1st year presentation the last
recipient shall be on the selection committee. Eventually all the selection committee
shall consist of past award recipients.

3- The purpose of this award shall be to recognize young amateurs for their efforts
above and beyond; that of just ordinary operating skills. Possible candidates should
be consider on their organizational skills, public out reach for ham radio skills and
willingness to help others and special event operations such as Field day ..

4- No person shall be awarded the IRC young ham award twice .

5- Certificates of participation excellence are awarded to young Hams for their committment
to on air operations and outstanding efforts to promote Amateur radio in the
Indianapolis community. Certificate selectees are eligible for future IRC Young Ham awards...
